Yes Description: People have been using wild plants for 1000s of year to make medicine and food and this low level walk will help you learn about some of these. You will be provided with a foraging notebook to allow you to take notes. We will be revisiting this walk in spring, summer and autumn to look at nature’s larder in these seasons. No Description: This year the our 'Short Walk into Nature' series of walks in Wester Ross will take place once a month at Flowerdale with each meeting having a different nature theme to learn about. This is a short, low-level and slow walk and celebrates the small things in nature. Perhaps you or someone you know are rehabilitating after illness or injury or just looking to have a short guided walk with company, everyone is welcome. Over 18 years only. Activity Name: MiDAS Minibus Driver Training Venue: Inverness Leisure Start Date: 10/12/2020 at 9:00am Dates: 10/12/2020 Must Book All Dates? Yes Description: MiDAS, the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme, is a nationally recognised standard for the assessment and training of minibus drivers. This is a Module One: Standard Certificate course Course candidates will learn: • A thorough knowledge of the legal responsibilities of a minibus driver and duty of care • Department for Transport codes of practice in safe carriage of passengers • Good practice in passenger comfort • Health and Safety at work for Drivers • Manoeuvring of vehicles • Defensive Driving techniques • Information on BCT hire policies and procedures • Minibus Fire and Evacuation Candidates must sit a written test paper and undertake a 70 minute on-the-road driving assessment. Once the course requirements have been assessed and satisfactorily passed, each MiDAS certificate is valid for a period of four years from the date of the driving assessment. On completion of this MiDAS Module One course candidates will be eligible to complete Module Two: Accessible Certificate, Half-day course.
