Activity Name: Mountain Life: Lunch at the Coire, Torridon Venue: Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve Start Date: 23/10/2019 at 10:00am Dates: 23/10/2019 Must Book All Dates? Yes Description: For this wild walk, we will follow a footpath flanked by iconic Torridon mountains . As we walk, we will look for wildlife and discuss the geology which shapes this incredible landscape. The path eventually leads to the Beinn Eighe Munros. However, we will be stopping before the very steep sections and the ridge and having lunch by a loch in beautiful Coire Mhic Fhearchair, before returning home on the same route. This is an ideal walk for those who want to be among the mountains but not on top of them! Distance is 10km/6.25 mi mostly on path but with some rough and steep sections leading up to the coire. Activity Name: Brilliant Bothies: Uags, Applecross Venue: Uags Start Date: 29/10/2019 at 10:00am Dates: 29/10/2019 Must Book All Dates? Yes Description: This walk to Uags Bothy from Toscaig on the Applecross peninsula is a rugged walk with spectacular views of Skye and other islands along the way. Much of the walk is off-path and on rough ground. As we walk, we will look for wildlife and discuss the geology which shapes this area. When we reach the bothy we will have lunch and a beachcomb at the bay at Uags. Participants must have good fitness, wear suitable outdoor boots, clothing and bring lunch. Distance is 8.5km/5.25 mi.
